Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium™ that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium™ meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium™, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium™, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium™ layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I bought the X3 to help secure a new motorbike, seems to be a good choice so far. Soft covering protects the wheel from any scratches, lighter than other options and a good lock mechanism.
Only challenge is where/how to mount it on the bike to take with & use away from home. Not all bikes have panniers, I don't want panniers, but Litelok only sell a bicycle mount which does not hold the lock securely enough to fasten to a slide bar or frame.
Something for them to think about, but for now it's mostly used to lock up the bike at home. Can't say more as thankfully noone has had a go at breaking it yet.

I bought this lock to replace a previous lock I bought from Litelok that was damaged in an attempted theft whilst I was in Bordeaux. The would be thieves tried to cut off the lock but gave up after getting 3/4 of the way through one side. I guess they ran out of blades or battery! It saved my new BMW R1300GSA from being stolen and a complicated replacement process with the insurance.

I bought this Litelok after my bike was stolen. My bike had a regular disc lock but the thieves cut through it in a few minutes and made off with my bike (which wasn't even 3 months old, under 2000 miles). In a high density city where garages are for the rich, powerful, or lucky, having a good lock is important for street parking. I learned that the hard way. Never again with this hefty lock.

This lock feel robust and looks a bit intimidating. The key action is very smooth, the "D" ring fits tightly into the lock housing but requires no effort to engage or disengage. The unit itself is not that heavy, but best not to have it in a plastic bag on the handlebars.
I feel that this lock will giver a potential thief pause for thought , and encourage them to look for easier pickings elsewhere.

The x3 looks excellent quality and bought after watching many reviews, the only negative I have to say is it’s literally just a tad too small to fit round the rim on my Ducati multistrada or my Honda grom but does fit through the disc and rim spokes on the multistrada, struggled with the grom, no probs with my ktm exc front wheel, yet to try it on the rear or swing arm as that’s off the bike at the moment!
Hoping it will never have to be used but feel more secure after having previous bikes stolen that it will give me time to stop any thieves!
Sure many have mentioned it but why not make a link chain out of the same material, I’d personally buy one😊
