LITELOK X1 Moto - much better than a disc lock
Upgraded my bike security from a disc lock to the LITELOK X1 Moto and it really is a great item. Easy to deploy - it fits perfectly through the wheel hub on my GS, and just gives me peace of mind - knowing that it will take something seriously heavy duty to get past the lock, and in most cases will send the would-be thief on to another target. Really like the storage pouch supplied too.

Genuinely "Lite" Security!
After buying the X3 and Core Moto I thought I would treat myself to the X1. It's a little smaller and more portable than the X3 but what suprised me was the weight, definitely more portable than the X3, very light and very good quality. Tested against the most d-locks on the market, LITELOK X1 is at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinder cuts. Additionally, X1 requires multiple discs to cut and due to its anti-rotation system, needs to be cut on both sides to remove.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

These locks are fantastic. You can tell how good the quality is and it fits perfectly on the front wheel of my Vespa through the suspension etc whilst in the locked position. Quick and easy to use. I was looking for added bike security for our road trips, and bought this lock because of the on-line reviews, and I'm very happy with it. It just feels right.
It fits perfectly through the both brake disks on the front wheel of my 1050 Tiger, almost made to measure.
Doesn't fit quite so well with the single disk and wheel spoke design on the 2025 Speed Twin 900. The spokes and disc only line up in a couple of ways. However, the Litelok can be fitted snuggly on the rear wheel, where it's more difficult to attack.

I've had the lock over a month now and am very happy with my purchase.
I've had gold rated d-locks in the past, but this is in another league when you watch videos of it being attacked with an angle grinder.
Because of that I am more than happy to ride into town, park up and know that it'll be there when I return. I do pair it with a cable lock and an alarm lock to add to the layers of security.
The space in the lock is great, giving plenty of room to secure the bike while the coating avoids damaging the paint work. I also like the neoprene bag for it, keeping stuff in my panniers clean if it is wet or dirty after locking up.
All in all a great lock, and one I've recommended to all my friends.

I have had my lock now for a couple weeks and its brilliant, easy to take with me in a bag to give me some piece of mind that parking my new bike up there will be less of a chance for it to not be there when I come back. It fits perfectly around my front well and in between the brake disk allowing me to put it in no matter wen I park I also don't have to worry about scratching up my rims thanks to the rubber coating. 10/10 would buy another as a matter of fact ill be getting myself the ax 1000 soon

The prevalence of cheap Chinese cordless angle grinders and heavy bolt croppers easily available to thieves have been a real problem in recent years when just an average lock is fitted to a motorcycle. Litelok appears to have changed that and just the fact that it has a well earned and proven reputation for being a real pain to cut through and guaranteed to take some time was the sole reason for buying. It's not too big and as the video shows easily fits to the real wheel of my old Laverda. I didn't expect it to fit the wife' s Vespa GTS125 at all however as there is so little spaceon the wheel but it went through without issue. These are so good I will almost certainly invest in another.

I find the X1 to be exceptional strong. Ideally it would have been perfect to have it in bright neon colours warning would be thieves from a distance. The reflective tape which runs along it is coming off so it would have been great to have the actual rubber which protects the entire shackle to be impregnated with reflective components. After a lot of online research this is certainly the best lock out there. If I had had more cash I would have bought the X3. I understand that the modifications I would have liked to have seen would have increased the cost of purchase. Also I must say I am extremely happy with the prompt customer service I also received. So in conclusion the X1 is an outstanding lock in terms of quality and strength and I am more than satisfied with my purchase."

Bought this lock based on some feedback I saw. Was amazed with the quality. Comes with a protective neoprene punch - so saves bashing off anything in the top box. Super quality. Keyhole is covered and protected by a piece of thin neoprene protecting the lock from water / dust ingress. Fits perfectly through the centre of the front wheel, through the inner side of the break disk and through the spokes. Plan to get another one for my son ther bike. Also brilliant for bicycles.
