Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is sold with an innovative Twist & Go mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The universal quick-release Twist & Go mount fits any bike style and firmly holds X1 in place even on rough surfaces for rattle-free riding.
If you don’t want to use the Twist & Go mount, we have a lock holster solution. We’ve collaborated with Restrap, another great British brand, to create a Lock Holster, which is available as an optional extra for £14.99.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

To get it to fit on a triumph bobber, you must put it through the back spokes and the frame of the bike and chain and cover!. Its to thick to go through the front disc. You would have to grind the spokes off or cut with big cutters. !. Hopefully it'll put off, the opportunist ??

Hope I'll never get to test it for real because thieves will probably damage my bike while trying to cut it off, but the Litelok X1 seems to be really tough and well-built. It's quite heavy too, but not too much if compared to other top security models from other brands. Delivery to Canada was expensive but it arrived quicker than expected in Toronto (within a week). Recommend.

This is an expensive product, but it is quality and when you feel it and fit it onto your bike, you know it's money well spent. I have to put it on the front wheel of my triumph tiger 1200 as it just can't fit through any other gaps, but located there, it is a highly visible deterrent and that's every part of what you want and need.

Ancien VTTiste dans ma jeunesse, depuis vélotafeur au quotidien, j’ai d’abord utilisé le Vélib’ électrique pendant des années, de peur d’avoir mon propre vélo et de me le faire voler. Mais le service Vélib à trouvé ses limites, les Vélib’ électriques étant victimes de leur succès, il était devenu de plus en plus difficile d’en trouver un aux heures de pointe à la sortie du bureau où le matin en partant de la maison.
J’ai donc franchi le pas au début de l’année en achetant mon propre vélo électrique chez Décathlon. J’avais d’abord eu un antivol en U bon marché de chez Décathlon parce que je ne comptais me servir de mon vélo que pour aller au travail. Or j’ai un local à vélos chez moi et au travail, donc pas besoin d’un gros antivol.
Mais de plus en plus, je me suis retrouvé à faire mes courses en ville sur Paris ou en banlieue et à devoir attacher mon vélo dans la rue quelques minutes. Et à chaque fois c’était le stress et la course pour faire vite et ne pas laisser mon vélo traîner trop longtemps dehors.
Finalement je me suis fait offrir pour mon anniversaire cet antivol Litelok X1. Et quel bonheur maintenant d’avoir l’esprit tranquille quand je laisse mon vélo attaché sur Paris et de pouvoir prendre tout mon temps ! J’ai presque envie de faire un test et le laisser attaché toute une semaine pour voir si quelqu’un arrive à le voler :)

Since I had to start locking up my scooter outside the worksite I felt the Masterlock D lock wasn't good enough. So I bought the X1. What a big difference. I definitely feel much more relaxed that my scooter is locked outside. Little on the heavy side carrying the X1 in my backpack but well worth it

I feel a lot better about leaving my bikes outside with these beasts securing them. (I got the bundle of 2 Litelok X1s) I haven't tried hitting them with my angle grinder so my 5 stars is just for daily use impressions.
I attached the mount/bracket with 2 screws to my water bottle mounts on a Bullitt cargo bike. It seems like the mount is primarily intended to use with the wrap-around clamps (which i’m not crazy about the look of), and putting it on with just two screws is a bit weird. You need to find 2 screws with heads just the right size: too small and the heads follow the screw right down the holes. If the screw heads are too big they wont fit into their little seats. Otherwise, this bracket is the best D lock bracket i've ever used. There's no rattling. It takes 2 hands to twist that lock out of there. I was skeptical the plastic bracket would break or be too stiff in cold weather. We haven't had real cold yet, but so far it works fine down to -20.
Having the locks wrapped in thick rubber is a real skin-saver in winter because I usually drop my mitts to lock and unlock.
Photo 1 is $600 worth of locks on a $90 bike. Might seem like overkill, but in downtown Saskatoon, it’s about right. These locks inspire peace of mind.
In photo 2, a $200 studded tyre needs more than a cable if it’ll be out of sight for long. I’m definitely glad i went for the bundle of 2 locks. The litelok wont reach around the tyre and the down tube with this front suspension bike, but i suppose most…
