LITELOK X3 Saves Bike in Newcastle #51

We recently received an account from Elijah, who reached out to share his experience with the LITELOK X3 and how it stood up against an attempted theft on the 15th December around 16:41 - 19:49. Here’s what he had to say:

"I was going to take the metro to meet a friend in Newcastle, and I parked the bike outside of Tesco Xtra in Sunderland and it was locked with just the Litelok X3"

"The bike was about £950 when it was new but would probably sell for about £600 now. When I came back to unlock, I was shocked to find out someone tried to attack the lock and steal the bike, I was quite surprised as the reason why I locked it there was because there were more cars driving and people in the area, it even has a CCTV camera above the spot, therefore more likely to be seen by other people, unlike the metro station where the supermarket was next to.

But I was really chuffed by the fact the thief only got through the black outer layer and only just managed to get to the Barronium metal bit. But still grateful and glad that I still have the bike."

For those of us who rely on bikes for transportation or leisure, Elijah’s experience serves as a valuable reminder to invest in security and think strategically about where we park and lock up. The LITELOK X3 proved its worth in this situation, giving Elijah peace of mind and protecting his valuable bike.

The LITELOK X3 is fortified with Barronium®, a cutting-edge composite material designed to withstand angle grinder attacks. This patent-pending innovation redirects the energy and force of the grinder back onto itself, offering an incredible 20 times more resistance than leading D-locks, all without adding extra weight.

Barronium® is seamlessly bonded to a hardened fine-grain, high-tensile steel core, ensuring robust protection against a wide range of common tools, including bolt croppers, cable cutters, long bars, hammers, and chisels.
