LITELOK X: TESTED ON THIEVES®

ANTI GRINDER ROADSHOW & LOCK AMNESTY

Think your lock is secure? You might be surprised.
Last month Neil Barron, LITELOK'S CEO & Founder visited New York City to demonstrate the angle grinder resistance of a variety of bike locks, including the LITELOK X Range

We had the pleasure of hosting our event at the Rapha New York Clubhouse. We invited influencers, bike messengers, and cycling enthusiasts to participate! They all had a chance to experience the level of security our locks offer Vs what they currently use.

Testing the LitelokmX3

Attendees had the chance to test the locks themselves, experiencing first-hand how long it would take to angle grind through their own bike locks, simulating a bike thief's challenge.

Most people were shocked just how fast they could get through their locks. Bike theft methods have changed over the past few years. More than ever, thieves are choosing angle grinders as a means to get away with a bike quickly, snipping through locks in seconds.

Jillian Alvarez shared her experience on the event:

No lock is undefeatable but at LITELOK we have carefully engineered the LITELOK X1 & LITELOK X3 to resist angle grinder attacks to slow the thief down.

What better way to demonstrate this than by having cyclists test it out themselves. There was a lot of disbelief in how quickly locks can be defeated. A few seconds can mean the difference in whether your bike is stolen or not.

Cutting locks in Rapha

Many people in NYC cycle as part of their job, lifestyle, and as a less stressful way to get around the city. This does not come without challenges! From cars parking in bike lanes, dangerous drivers, and bike thieves. These are things riders have to navigate daily.

We're grateful for Rapha for having us and for the opportunity to show what our locks are capable of. Our anti grinder roadshow & lock amnesty will be visiting more locations in the future! Stay tuned
