My Core Moto protects the bike steering lock from being broken by going around the engine bars to the fork leg, stopping the bikes steering lock from being broken, hampering any thieves form wheeling the bike away, along with my X3 through the front hub, disk & wheel, and my X1 as added protection through the rear wheel and break pivot arm.
These locks are so brilliant any attempt to angle grind all these will need about 10 disks and about 4 batteries…. Hopefully this will deter any attempts to take my bike.

Fantastic lock that's not only tough but portable too! It fits perfectly in my passenger seat bag ready for my trip to scotland soon. I've also added an X3 up front just to be 100% sure I'm giving a yone trying to steal my pride and joy a bloody hard time! Both are heavy duty but not too heavy and are easily portable on tours. And.... its orange!

Thinking of heading out into the 'Big Bad World'? My advice. Grab yourself a real chunk of security because not everyone lives by your values. I recently took part in a Mini Tour of the UK. My first thought was, how do I know my beloved bike is going to outside the hotel when I wake up in the morning? Simples! Make it as difficult as humanly possible for it not to be. Knowing a good number of my bike riding friends had already bought LITELOK products I chose to do my research. That done I touched base with the company firstly through FaceBook. I was delighted with the speed at which a reply came through followed by Direct Message and then email. Something I was not expecting being a very loath user of FB.
The one to one service I received was absolutely superb. As I was firstly going abroad for 4 days then the next day seeing off on the tour meant I had a very tight time frame. No issue for these folks. The LITELOK arrived two days later followed in quick succession by the X3 Moto.
Needless to say I slept safe in the knowledge that my beloved BMW R Nine T Scrambler would be just where I had parked it the following morning.

So I bought this for a new motorcycle purchase, I cant fault the quality of the lock so far and its build (alongside the X3 when used together as a combo). It has yet to be tested in the long term. My issue is with the keys - there are 3 supplied which I like but the opening hole which slips onto a keyring is too small. The X3 key has a large enough opening to allow for movement on the ring, the Core Moto doesn't. It means i have to fold the key into the fabric piece of the keyring so the key doesn't jut at a weird angle and even then it doesn't sit flush. It might be an idea for Litelok to supply a key tidy of some sort so that it holds multiple key types, neatly and discretely. I'm a product designer/engineer by profession so thing about these things inherently and just feel that this is a missed opportunity here. Otherwise super happy and will continue to purchase their products.

The Litelok core is too bulky and heavy to fit into any motorcycle luggage so I bought a 55L tail pack for the pillion seat. The Litelok is too short for such a large motorcycle and the only place it will go is through the wheel (front or rear). I can only secure the bike to an anchor using an additional lock, the Abus Granite 340mm D-lock. This works but I am carrying 5kg of locks! Pragmasis roundlock and 16mm chain would be more compact and weigh the same.

What a great lock. Really easy to open and close and not too heavy to carry in my backpack....no topbox fitted. Always get people talking when they see it.
