LITELOK X3 Saves Bike in Massachusetts #44

LITELOK X3 saved Ryan's $1,474 Lectric XP bike at Harvard University's Campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

For bike owners, securing your ride can often feel like a stressful endeavour, especially when the risk of theft looms large. However, Ryan's experience highlights just how crucial the right security measures can be in protecting your valuables—and giving you peace of mind.

"The theft took place on Tuesday night (October 1st) between 1am and 7am, on Harvard University's campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The bike is a Lectric XP 3.0 Long Range, valued at $1,474 without a discount. The bike was locked to a rack outside of my dormitory with only the X3 lock; I have two AirTags hidden on the bike for tracking purposes, but luckily I didn't need to use them! Basically, I went to use my bike on Wednesday, and realized that my key wasn't working; when I took a closer look, I saw that a thief had attempted to saw through the bike (presumably with an angle grinder), and when that didn't work, they used some sort of hammer or axe to try and bash it open.

Lucky for me, they got through a part of the lock (such that my key no longer works, as they broke the entry point), but the lock itself stayed on, and my bike was saved!

I really appreciate you guys, and the great products you make."

At the end of the day, this success story speaks volumes about how a well-engineered product can prevent the loss of something valuable—while also giving the owner the ultimate peace of mind. We're proud to know that our LITELOK X3 kept this bike safe and appreciate the customer for trusting us.
